Francois McCrary is a Surinamese-Dutch singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist working across contemporary R&B, electronic pop and film.
He joined Origins Inconclusive in 2025, aged 16, with a practice that already stretched from writing and production to performing, mixing and directing his own visuals. His influences include FLO, DESTIN CONRAD, Joyce Wrice and KAYTRANADA.
Music runs through his family: his father, Alfred McCrary, has worked with Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Diana Ross, while his mother, Natascha Wright, is known for her work with La Bouche. Francois brings that musical background to a distinctly self-directed body of work.
His debut album BLUR arrived on 5 September 2025 through Origins Inconclusive. The 14-track release followed singles including Day and Night, Shoulda Woulda Coulda and I Don’t Care B!TCH, pairing his songwriting with an evolving visual world.
