Francois McCrary has shared the announcement video for BLUR, his debut album through Origins Inconclusive. Revealed on 17 August 2025, the project is set for release on 5 September.
Inside the making of BLUR
The film combines behind-the-scenes footage from Armada Music Studios with moments from his travels. It offers a personal view of the work behind the album, from recording sessions to the ideas shaping its visual identity.
“Everything about Blur came from a place of not knowing and wanting to know,” McCrary shares in the video. “I trusted my gut. I trusted my people. And we made something that feels like who I am.”

From the singles to the album
The film follows I Don’t Care B!TCH, released on 15 August 2025. Together, the single and announcement introduce a project rooted in contemporary R&B, electronic pop and Francois’s approach to writing, production and performance.
The son of Alfred McCrary and Natascha Wright of La Bouche, Francois grew up around music. At the time of the announcement he was 16, developing his own sound and directing the visual world around his records.
