01 / Biography
A musician’s approach
to electronic music.
Across his own releases, KDYN moves between the detail of a studio recording and the physical pull of dance music. Guitar, keys and layered instrumental parts sit alongside swung drums, vocal fragments and bass: a sound shaped by UK garage, neo-soul, funk and gospel.
His early catalogue includes the Elevate EP on Monstercat, released in December 2021. By January 2023, Needwant’s introduction to KDYN described a developing, soulful direction around “What U Need”, connecting garage and electronica with a more personal approach to writing.
The four-track As Souls Find Greatness followed through Positiva / EMI in August 2024. In June 2025, Finding Promise In New Frontiers & Wonders expanded that world across six tracks. EARMILK’s review explored its mix of gospel, electronic production and live instrumentation, with “Proud” and “I Just Want U” among its contrasting moments.
Later in 2025, “Don’t Be Afraid” and “Jasmine” joined his catalogue through Origins Inconclusive. Alongside those records, Lewis continues to produce, mix and master music with other artists. That work is part of the same practice: listening closely to what a song needs, whether it carries his own name or someone else’s.
