Inside the work

The opening chapter of the love songs EP campaign introduces a quiet, bedroom-built world of diary entries, emotional honesty and understated pop.

love songs opens Clarissa Mae's EP campaign at its most intimate: soft vocals, minimal production and songwriting that feels closer to a diary entry than a declaration.

Clarissa wrote and recorded the song in her bedroom around twenty minutes after waking from a dream in which her boyfriend had begun to withdraw. Rather than enlarge that feeling, the record stays close to it, preserving the uncertainty and emotional detail of the moment that prompted it.

The official video follows the same understated logic. Together, the song and visual establish the campaign's private scale: bedroom spaces, lived-in memories and a world that becomes more revealing one chapter at a time.

The record went on to receive support from BBC Introducing Kent and Apple Music's Virtual Hugs playlist before the campaign continued with shy and anyway.
